Vista 64bit on Sony Viao

I recently bought a Sony Viao personal computer and it's OS is microsoft vista 64 bit. The laptop is great and I don't have any problems with it, it is more accessible, easy to use and I am satisfied with it. My sister said that I should use first the Microsft XP professional but I searched the internet about the features of Vista so I decided to go with it.
